The vineyard is dry farmed, and it is our plan to farm it organically. Today we have 19 acres of vines with varietals that include cabernet, syrah, grenache, mourvedre, counoise, and zinfandel. In the next couple of years we will remove another 30 acres of walnuts and plant mostly or entirely to vines. We will increase acreage of varietals we already farm, and will likely add varietals like viognier, roussanne, grenache blanc, picpoul, tanat, and petit verdot.
In 2010, our vineyard was in its 5th leaf (with the exception of our cabernet, which was planted in the Fall of 2009), and we harvested about 27 tons of fruit. The tonnage won't likely increase by much, as our focus is to limit yields and maximize the quality of our fruit.
