2008 sisu - Paso Robles
Syrah/Grenache/Mourvedre
$30.00
Showing a hair more flesh and fruit than the 07 did at this stage, the 2008 Kukkula Sisu is a blend of 55% Syrah, 24% Grenache, and 21% Mourvedre that was aged, like the 07, for 16 months in 50% new French oak. It exhibits beautiful aromatics with loads of raspberry, fresh flowers, licorice, and sweet spice notes on the nose, showing more complexity and an underbrush/bramble character with air. Round and sexy on the palate, with sweet fruits, a light, seamless texture, and a long, juicy finish, this should drink beautifully for 5 to 8 years. (Jeb Dunnuck from The Rhone Report)
