Sisu provides scents of ripe blackberries with a nice round mouth feel and an earthy traditional style. A bit early, but sisu exhibits wonderful depth and a complex, long finish. Give it a year to really turn it on, but if you insist, give it plenty of time to breathe.
Sisu, a Finnish word, best defines Finns and means patience, perseverance, and stamina. I find it apropos not only for the culture in which I was raised, but for the pursuit we’ve embarked on. Since our reason for moving to the Westside of Paso Robles was to pursue making memorable Rhone blends, it was only fitting to name this classic blend sisu.
